OpenGenesisLINKOGL FastMap 2.0 – map generation and region startup
OGL FastMap 2.0 – map generation and region startup
FastMap 2.0: asynchronous Warp3D rendering, maps and RenderMeshes validation with limitations.

FastMap 2.0: decouple startup and rendering
The optional mode registers a region with its previously stored map UUID first. A bounded serialized queue renders a new map later. Old referenced map assets are retained until GridService publication succeeds.
Opt-in example
[Map]
GenerateMaptiles = true
MapImageModule = "Warp3DImageModule"
RenderMeshes = true
FastMapAsyncStartup = true
FastMapStartupDelaySeconds = 120
MaptileRefresh = 0Default: synchronous maps remain active. A new region may temporarily lack a tile, and manual generate map remains synchronous. Pending jobs are canceled during shutdown.
Warp3D RenderMeshes
The development code validates mesh LLSD/zlib LODs, avoids unsuitable JPEG2000 calls and caches geometry within a render. Damaged or missing source meshes cannot be repaired by a renderer cache.
Before production: verify startup, viewer map, refresh, shutdown, asset references, CPU/RAM and recovery on a representative grid. Performance improvements remain unmeasured without benchmarks.
