In plain language: A thumbnail is a small image that makes an item, folder or outfit easier to recognize.
Implementation status
The server accepts Firestorm thumbnail uploads, stores image identifiers persistently and returns them in inventory fetches. A protected API can ensure My Outfits exists for existing residents.
Known limit (Firestorm 7.2.4.80712): A replaced outfit thumbnail may temporarily display a default icon. Rebuilding only the inventory cache reveals the persisted image. The viewer/server root cause remains unproven.
The item is closed as an accepted limitation, not as an automatic cache-refresh fix. The separate No Outfit issue is still open.
