Open-source licences
OpenGenesisLINK contains inherited OpenSimulator code, which keeps its BSD and third-party licences.
Open-source licences
What this means
New original OpenGenesisLINK contributions are generally licensed under MPL 2.0.
- Inherited OpenSimulator code keeps its applicable licences
- New OpenGenesisLINK contributions: generally MPL 2.0
- Third-party dependencies keep their own licences
Why are there multiple licences?
The repository includes inherited OpenSimulator files, newly written OpenGenesisLINK files and third-party libraries. Existing OpenSimulator licences and copyright notices remain; new original contributions are generally covered by MPL 2.0 unless explicitly stated otherwise.
The actual file notices and repository licence texts govern each component. It would be inaccurate to label the entire codebase MPL 2.0.
