Controlled update staging (development)

The World API can stage source and optional builds for one or several connected simulator nodes. Requests require simulators:manage, explicitly enabled NodeAgent staging and independent expiring signed update commands with replay protection.

Configure the separate NEXVERSE_UPDATE_CONTROL_KEY secret securely on ROBUST and authorized nodes, never in public documentation or checked-in configuration.

Staging is not deployment. Active files, databases, INI settings and services are not changed or restarted. Production rollout requires a separate operator-approved backup/rollback process.
